A brand new event in the Eden Valley!


The Eden5 (miles) Trail Run is located in the heart of the beautiful Eden Valley close to the villages of Kirkoswald and Lazonby.


The route is almost all off-road and may well be muddy, we suggest you wear your trail shoes.


All finishers will receive a bespoke medal and free event photographs, available to download.

Distance: 5 miles / 8km


Location: Mains Farm, Kirkoswald, Penrith. CA10 1DH


Entry prices: £19.50 (£2 discount for UKA Affiliated Runners)


Registration: 9.15am - 10.45am on race day


Race Safety Briefing: 10.45am at registration barn


Race Start: 11am


Facilities: water station at 2.8 miles, toilets at registration area, refreshment van at start / finish area, free on-site parking


Course: Our run is located alongside the River Eden close to the villages of Kirkoswald and Lazonby. It is a fantastic new route with access onto private land not normally available to run on. The varied course has a mixture of flat and not so flat terrain! With only a couple of short road sections, it is mostly off-road so you should wear your trail shoes. Alongside the local landmarks there are stunning views around the Eden Valley and towards the Pennines.


Race Permit: Issued by the Trail Running Association, permit no. TRA 5956. This race will be held in accordance with UK Athletics rules.


Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers in the male and female open categories, and for first place in each of the age group categories. Prizegiving will take place at the registration barn.
